The Coca-Cola Route - Hut Accommodation

Route Overview

The Marangu Route is the oldest and most established path to Kilimanjaro's summit. Known as the "Coca-Cola Route" due to its relative comfort and the availability of soft drinks at the huts, it's the only route offering dormitory-style hut accommodation instead of camping.

While often considered the "easiest" route due to its gradual slope and comfortable sleeping arrangements, don't be fooled—the summit night is still extremely challenging. The route ascends and descends via the same path, and we've included an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut to significantly improve your chances of success.
