Day Schedule
Departure from Arusha
Early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy breakfast boxes as we drive through the scenic highlands toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The early start ensures we arrive at the crater rim before most other vehicles, maximizing your wildlife viewing time.
Crater Descent
Arrive at the crater rim and begin the dramatic 600-meter descent down the steep crater walls. The descent takes about 30 minutes, offering spectacular views of the caldera floor below. Your guide will brief you on what to expect and the best wildlife viewing strategies.
Full Day Game Drive
Spend approximately 6 hours exploring the crater floor, home to approximately 25,000 large animals. The crater offers the best chance to see the Big Five in a single day, including the endangered black rhino. Visit the soda lake with its flamingo flocks, the Lerai Forest with its elephants, and the open plains where lions hunt. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, watching these massive animals wallow in the water.
Crater Ascent

Return to Arusha
